Instead of buying just one toy (like one stock), you buy a pre-made toy basket that has hundreds of different toys inside. This basket is called an ETF (Exchange Traded Fund).
If one stock in the basket breaks, you do not worry because you have hundreds of other stocks that are working perfectly. It keeps your money safe!
